playing in the rain

the kids got rain coats, boots, and umbrellas for Christmas and have been begging to play outside in the rain well tonight they were granted their wish. It has rained a couple of times but either it was lightening or too cold to just wear their rain coats, so after supper tonight they donned their gear and were playing in the rain. I think Audrey had the most fun as you can see the splashing from her boots in the 3rd picture, there was a small puddle behind the basketball hoop that she was jumping in, needless to say she was soaked when she was done, and i don't think much of it was from the rain i think it was the puddle. Its amazing to watch the excitement of kids in the rain, Hayden sat in the garage in the stroller and even laughed watching them play. Today they had school, i was on the ball this am and went to the gym and ran before school started and then after dropping the trips off we came home hayden napped, I showered and made my grocery list and off i headed to the store. We even went to dairyhaven tonight after dinner.
Work went well this past sunday I was nervous at first but then once i started taking calls i was a little more comfortable and everybody was so helpful with the TON of questions that i asked. Next week i think Chris is going to take a day off and we are going to take the kids to the zoo, for the first time this season, I was going to take them tomorrow but the weather is going to be less than stellar here so hopefully next week. Oh well i am going to read my magazine and then go to bed early, Chris's alarm went off at 630 for the car seat certification class and will be getting up early all week to be at work by 7, yuck i don't mind waking up early I just don't do well waking up to an alarm if that makes any sense.

springing into the week

After an up and down winter with the weather I think spring is on its way, we have had some beautiful weather the last few days, today is a bit colder but 54 is still good. Chris got out the kids swings and even put one up for Hayden which he does love, especially if the triplets are pushing him, he giggles and thinks it is wonderful. I even think this beautiful weather has something to say for good moods, the triplets have been playing so nice together and are loving the option of going outside. Yesterday i bought some more sand for the kids sandbox and didnt' buy enough b/c it only filled one side. On Monday of this past week we had the Reuss's over for a bit and then we headed to the firehouse and the park, which was alot of fun. Tomorrow at St. Paul's MDO the kids are having a picnic lunch which they are looking forward to, I am looking forward to getting my run in and then coming home to a clean house. I have been trying to run 2 miles every day which is working pretty well, my next goal is a 10K which is 6.2 miles, i ran the ST. patty's day race which is 5 miles in 55 minutes so i need to start training more. For those of you who are runners I am not running for time I am just running for the runner's high and of course the health benefits. After the race on Saturday i was jumping up and down in Union Station b/c i was so proud that i did 5 miles, I don't ever think i will be a marathon runner, but maybe one day i might just attempt that half marathon, we will see.
Tonight is my last shift of orientation at work and Sunday is my first day off I am kind of nervous but it will be fine, it is a crazy weekend ahead, tonight i work, tomorrow night is set up for the sale, Saturday is the resell it sale, Sunday is work, chris will be with the kids ALOT which is good, welcome to my world.

A day with my boys

Its been awhile since i posted, i didn't even do a 10 month update on Hayden so i will include that here also. Life has been a little hectic lately with my new job which i can't even begin to tell you how much i LOVE it, seriously every time i work I thank God for leading me there. I realize how unhappy i was at my old job and the difference is amazing. since i am orientating i am working more for right now which i do like, espescially the money. I ran a 5K this past Sunday and it was awesome, the weather was great and i felt good through the whole thing. I need to run today but Christian has been ill and had a fever last night so we can't go today. He is doing fine i think he just has some respiratory thing going on, which i now have. Yesterday i kept Christian home from school and it was so nice outside so we blew bubbles.
Hayden's 10 month update is the boy is getting big, he is the happiest baby, and LOVES his siblings. This punching balloon is awesome for entertaining him, i know it is completely age appropriate, but hey it works great when trying to fix dinner. the side pic of Hayden he was belly laughing when Christian was blowing bubbles, it was too cute not too post. He is starting to cruise around furniture, does "so big", peek a book, and tries to get into my cabinets. I can't believe he is 10 months already. His sleeping also is much better, he goes down around 730-8, will sleep till 4 then eat, then sleep till 7 and wake up babbling. He also loves to be held which i am more than happy to oblige since i didn't get to constantly hold the triplets, although maybe i did with christian since he was the mama's boy. I don't think you can spoil them enough with love. People alwasy tell me treasure them b/c they grow up fast which i can start to fathom with the triplets. so i am trying to be more patient and not worry so much about the messes, I want them to look back and remember the fun not the clean house, dishes, or whatever.
Off to get ready and then play some more with the trips while Hayden naps.

9 months

My baby boy turned 9 months yesterday, I really was going to blog last night but my hubby while making bruschetta decided to watch a movie on the laptop so i didn't have access to it, and i went to bed at 9. I know I know every time I blog i say i am going to be a better blogger, well i am not. the other day i was thinking how much time i waste on the computer, its disgusting really so i decided to turn off the computer for awhile and get stuff done, the one day i cleaned out 4 drawers that i dont' think had been cleaned since when we moved in, and thurs i cleaned out our fridge and let me tell you it looks great, empty but great. i never use sour cream but why did i have two huge containers of it. somedays i feel so overwhelmed by the stuff that needs to be done but it is like dishes,they will be there until i decide to do them or chris, I think my job today may be organinzing the pantry before i go to the grocery store. or maybe i will play outsided with the triplets since it is going to be 60 degrees today, i think i may dig out my shorts, well maybe not but i would love to bottle this weather since they are talking about snow on thursday. sorry mother nature but you are a huge tease. Now lets talk about my baby boy, (can you tell i am gaga over him)he is the happiest baby, he loves his siblings, I think emma especially bc she will play with him, carry him around which he thinks is hilarious. He is still army crawling which the triplets did forever and pulling to his knees, two babies younger than him are pulling to stand already and if he is anything like christian was he wont' be doing that for awhile, those darn men, he now has figured out how to put the ball in his fisher price thing and make it play music, he knows all of his Presidents, and we just started reading time magazine..okay okay just kidding.
when we had our 8 inches of snow the kids played outside for a long time, so it took forever to bundle them up, i just love the bottom pic of all three, audrey who is in the black crimson hat was mad b/c her old hat kept falling off, it was too small so chris put one of his on her and she was not happy to say the least. that girl ohh has been so sassy lately, the other day i gave her clothes to wear and she said "well if i wear that I won't look like a princess" wth? excuse me where did that come from, b/c first of all she is a princess and anybody that knows the girl will agree but hello she is 4, what the heck next year the girl will want to be served on a pillow and wear her tiara to bed.
in other news i start my new job this week and am very excited, monday is my first day with my computer training so i wll try and update on monday night. enjoy the new pics.

bad blogger

its been a long time since i blogged, i think b/c i am so addicted to facebook and put pics up there so i dont' blog but facebook will be long gone probably in a couple of years so i will blog today and probably not tomorrow. We really havent' been up to much, pretty sad, I have taken up a new habit of going to bed by 9pm, its like i think i a m 80 or something, next week i will probably be cooking supper at 3 who knows. Last night i did stay up late to watch the Duggar wedding, yes i am addicted to the Duggar's, chris didnt' want to watch it with me I don't know why. this weekend seriuosly i wanted to scream, Chris is addicted to mafia wars on fb, i MEAN he is always on the computer making deposits and crap, ugghhh I wished he would have made a deposit of clothes into the washing machine. Chris is a good dad and husband don't get me wrong but if I saw him on the computer one more time I was going to scream. what do you mean someone will steal your money if you dont' make a deposit, are you freaking kidding. I loved it this weekend when he told me he was tired, and its not because he gets up with Hayden, i guess going to the bank so many times wore him out. Ok off of Chris like i said he is a good dad, and i'm sure i get on his nerves too.
Good news I finally got my MO license and will be starting my new job Feb 9th, I am loving being off but am super excited to start a new job, being a full time SAHM is rough, i feel bad asking for help from anyone and i feel really bad for spending any money on myself since i am not working, I still don't feel bad spending money at Target or gymboree though. hey if somethings on sale...
We got a wii, and i love it, haven't been on in a couple of days that is my job tonight after dance class. Today we did a playdate at the Reuss's which was fun, usually we have alcohol but Lindsey drank it all before i got there, LOL Wednesday night I have a very important meeting with Pam and Lindsey to discuss world events at Cutters, I am thinking we can get ALOT solved over greasy food and some beer. This weekend we actually have plans two nights, I kind of am starting to feel important. saturday night is the hockey game with Cathy and sunday is Superbowl over at Lisa's, I just hope she doesn't feel chris's butt again this year,i may have to start charging for that. Oh well I guess i need to figure out someway to be domesticated today, I am making a roast in the crock pot but if i dont' get Chris's slippers warm and his cigar ready when he comes home he gets a little upset and may not let me watch jon and kate and the duggars so i better be good....

8 months old

Today my baby is 8 months old so hard to believe. Hayden is a great and happy baby, but when he is tired he wants his bed. The last three days he has not been sleeping well at all, the nights are okay but during the day he naps 45 minutes and wakes up SCREAMING, so i don't know if it is his ears but he doesn't have a fever, his teeth, or just a phase he is going through. He was awake for the day at 530 this am, i was all set to go to they gym after i fed him and he wanted to play, good thing b/c the roads are really icy and i would not have turned on the TV and discovered that till i was already driving on them so thanks Hayden for keeping me safe. The kids were supposed to go back to school today but that is cancelled, i need to run to the mall but i am not risking it, so maybe tonight. i guess God wants me to finish folding all of that laundry i did yesterday so that is fine also. The kids are pretty excited about going to Disney on Ice this week, we will be leaving Hayden with a sitter so we can fully enjoy the show. The top three pics were taken by chris with Steph's flash that we borrowed, I like it so much that i am going to use some of my Christmas money to buy one as soon as i find out which one she has, Steph and i have the same camera so hopefully today i will be placing my order! I am liking my current career so far of being a SAHM, granted it has only been a few days but it is so nice not having to think about going to work, I had a nice hot meal ready for the family last night, yes it was reheated pizza from my playdate earlier but hey i am utilizing the leftovers. Chris made a joke about it saying i had a hot meal for him, but he is being super supportive which is great, he LOVES his job and realizes that sometimes work around the house is two full time jobs.

A New Year, a new journey

Happy New Year my friends! Today i will not be posting any pictures but I wanted to start the New Year fresh with a new post. Our Christmas was wonderful, a little overdone, (can we say the toys are outnumbering the people by far) we are so lucky to be so fortunate in a year where everybody has felt the hit of the economy in one way or another. I usually don't do New year's resolutions but this year i am going to do some goals, I wont share them all here but I am going to work on being a better person, friend, and mom of course, there is always room for improvement. I have realized that the last couple of months I have been unhappy and am glad that i took a step in improvoing it. As I sit here and think about my last shift tonight it brings a tear to my eye, I have worked there for 12 years, I know the computer system, my way around the hospital, ALOT of employees, can i say it is just very very comfortable. Change is hard but i am going to adjust and adjust with a positive attitude. I am finally starting to feel a little peace in my heart, and it feels wonderful.
We rang in the New Year with some neighbors, it was family oriented with kids toys and cocktails for the adults, we had a great time! Happy New Year! I hope to be a better blogger this year.
